What are you searching for?
I love my calendars - but every year it has gotten harder and harder to find nice ones. They are either overpriced (IMO) or just plain tacky (again IMO)⠀
⠀
Back in 2020, I decided to search Etsy, support some artists and make my own! ⠀
⠀
I first purchased a Lunar Calendar (made sure it was for the Southern Hemisphere) and then found a Gregorian one that I liked the look of. ⠀
⠀
You can find the shops on Etsy if you want to give it a try yourself:⠀
- CrystalSnowCo⠀
- ThroughthePhases⠀
⠀
Next, I bought some cute little rose gold clips and a corkboard from Kmart - I am planning to use these every year and just replace the Lunar and Gregorian calendars each time. ⠀
⠀
Alfie helped me paint the corkboard black; and then with spray paint, and some careful masking with tape - I sprayed the whole thing with rose gold and gold paint to hide the silver border and also create the star and stripe designs. ⠀
⠀
Once dried I pinned the clips to the board and then attached the calendars using the clips and pins. Voila! ⠀
⠀
I really love how it turned out, and it suits our house aesthetic perfectly! ⠀

Not a new DIY but I thought I would add the link to the calendar I found for this year. It’s been great to be able to reuse the corkboard, recycle the old calendar and customise how I want it to look for this year.
I purchased this one from Etsy as well. - I like getting digital downloads as I can print them off for myself as soon as I get them, and don’t have the hassle of waiting for the post to arrive.
